Wagon tipplers are specialized platforms that enable railcars to be unloaded in as little as two minutes.

A wagon tippler is commonly used for unloading railcars. This equipment allows for the rapid unloading of open-top railcars with capacities of up to 150 tons.

Wagon tipplers are equipped with:

  • lifting system, typically using hydraulic jacks
  • specially designed guide grooves or rails that direct railcar movement during unloading
  • railcar position locking mechanisms

Applications of wagon tipplers

  • machine-building facilities
  • river and seaports
  • coke and metallurgical plants
  • thermal power plants
  • construction enterprises

In practice, these systems are used wherever loading and unloading operations are required.

To prevent the buildup or freezing of bulk materials on the walls of receiving and discharge hoppers, specialized rubber liner panels for wagon tipplers are used. These panels provide reliable protection for critical wear surfaces against mechanical damage, including abrasion, wear, and deformation.

Characteristics of wagon tippler liner panels

Only high-density, wear-resistant rubber is used in the manufacture of molded liner panels, as wagon tippler working surfaces are subjected to substantial operating loads. To protect platform surfaces, a ribbed rubber liner panel is installed on the impact wall. These panels are used in both stationary and rotary wagon tipplers.

Wagon tippler liner panels are designed to operate within a temperature range of –30°C to +50°C. Panels are manufactured for:

  • heavy-duty applications (up to 500,000 tons)
  • light-duty applications (up to 50,000 tons)
  • medium-duty applications (up to 200,000 tons)
