Dock fender

Berthing fenders are shock absorbers that protrude into the water. They are used to protect the walls of berths or piers, as well as the hulls of vessels, when they are moored or anchored.
Berthing fenders offer versatile positioning options, including horizontal or vertical orientation, one or two rows, rigid or removable fixtures. This depends on the type of sea or river transport, the structure of the berth, mooring capabilities, and other conditions.
Types of berthing fenders
At the Ukrpromservice plant, fenders are manufactured using a non-moulded method, which ensures their internal structural uniformity, improves product quality, and extends their service life. The range of products manufactured at the plant includes the following types of berthing fenders:
– Cylindrical: easy to install, time-tested universal models, ideal for stationary berths;
– Arched devices, distinguished by their extreme strength and resistance to longitudinal loads, available in three modifications: SV, SX, SH, differing in the width of the contact surface;
– Conical, providing good stability at significant compression angles and strength under shear deformation;
– Marine slabs, placed along the entire length of the berth and maintaining a minimum distance from the ship to the mooring point;
– Sliding fenders that withstand enormous forces and are used to protect pontoon connections and bridges.
The geometric dimensions of fenders can be manufactured according to customer requirements. In addition, the company’s experts can provide highly qualified advice to select the optimal berthing fender that meets the customer’s objectives and specific requirements.
