Dielectric mats (dielectric rugs) are special rubber sheets that protect people from the risk of electric shock. Most often, rubber dielectric mats are used in various electrical installations and essentially serve as a dielectric (insulating) base. In other words, they can be used indoors as a special insulating platform.

Dielectric mats must be purchased for rooms where there is a danger of contact with live conductive elements during the servicing of electrical equipment such as switchboards, assemblies, rings, commutator devices, generators, electric motors, and test benches. The mat must be used only in enclosed, dry rooms. Use outdoors in wet weather is strictly prohibited.

Technical specifications:

  • dimensions: 750 × 750 × 6 mm;
  • test voltage: 20 kV at 50 Hz;
  • rated voltage: 1000 V at 50 Hz;
  • maximum leakage current density: 160 mA/m²;
  • electrical strength of rubber: up to 10 kV/mm;
  • the compound used in manufacturing is certified by health authorities.

The maximum storage period of the mat is 3 years.
