88-NP – Water-Resistant Adhesive

88 NP (TU 38.1051760 89) is a high performance adhesive based on a chloroprene rubber compound. It also contains neoprene modified with phenol formaldehyde resin, which enhances strength and moisture resistance.

This adhesive is widely used for cold bonding of rubber materials, providing strong and reliable adhesion without heat treatment. It is also highly effective for bonding cardboard to plastic, glass, and metal, as well as bonding rubber to painted surfaces, ensuring excellent bonding strength and long term performance.

Adhesive 88 NP is used in virtually all areas of manufacturing for the cold bonding of various types of surfaces. Bonded materials can be used in both seawater and fresh water. Due to its composition and characteristics, as well as its economical consumption, it is most effective for bonding rubber products containing natural rubber.

Characteristics:

Adhesive 88 NP is resistant to various mechanical stresses and handling at temperatures ranging from –50°C to +70°C. It provides reliable adhesion to a wide range of surfaces and is corrosion resistant when used with metal products. The adhesive is non toxic, making it suitable for both industrial and household applications. To achieve optimal performance, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt, and grease.

Usage Tips

First, clean the surfaces to be bonded, ensuring complete removal of grease and contaminants. If the surface is painted, the paint must be intact and free of peeling. After preliminary cleaning, proceed with the bonding process.
