During the planting process, when a seed comes into contact with the sides of the furrow, it can ultimately settle at varying depths and with insufficient contact with the soil. As a result, seed germination may become uneven, negatively affecting crop performance.

Maintaining a consistent seeding depth is undoubtedly one of the primary functions of a seed drill. However, even a properly adjusted seed drill may still produce variations in planting depth of 1-2 cm.

This seed firmer provides a simple and reliable way to achieve 2 mm seed placement accuracy. The polyurethane seed firmer positions seeds precisely at the intended planting depth while ensuring close seed-to-soil contact.

Manufactured from wear-resistant polyurethane, the firmer maintains consistent downward pressure through its flexible design. The polyurethane guide extends to the very bottom of the furrow, directing seeds as they exit the seed tube and accurately pressing them into the base of the V-shaped seed furrow.

The seed firmer features an optimized cross-sectional profile designed to prevent soil compaction and furrow wall collapse. As a result, seeds are gently secured at the required depth while maintaining reliable contact with the surrounding soil.
