Round-section porous rubber cord is widely used in many industrial sectors, including mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, and aircraft manufacturing, mainly for sealing portholes and windows. It is also used as a seal for structural components. The specific application of the cord depends on its technical parameters.

Round-section rubber cords are manufactured by continuous vulcanization. The raw material is rubber combined with various additives. Calibration helps ensure a consistent product diameter along the entire length.

Types of round-section rubber cords:

  • acid- and alkali-resistant;
  • frost-resistant;
  • heat-resistant;
  • oil- and petrol-resistantю

Porous cord is commonly used:

  • for insulation and thermal protection as a heat-absorbing base;
  • for sealing expansion cracks and joints in industrial buildings and structures made from prefabricated materials;
  • as a sealing strip for aircraft and vehicles;
  • for sealing joints between panels in multi-stored buildings.

Rubber gasket installation should be carried out at temperatures not below -20°C. In addition to the construction industry, these products are widely used in the automotive, aviation, and chemical industries.

We manufacture hernite cords that can be purchased directly from our production facility. Product quality is subject to ongoing technical control, and all required testing standards are followed. Each batch of finished products, including cords, must be of the same type and size. From the batch, 5% of the products, or at least three coils weighing no more than 50 kg each, are selected for testing. Their dimensions and appearance are checked, along with compression resistance and residual deformation at an ambient temperature of +20°C.

The sponge cord must then be conditioned for 24 hours. If all parameters meet the requirements, the product is sent to storage, where coils are stacked up to two meters high.

Storage rules:

  • transport in closed vehicles;
  • temperature not exceeding +30°C;
  • no exposure to direct sunlight;
  • storage away from oils, acids, and substances that may affect the integrity of gaskets.
