Dielectric rubber mats are specialized rubber sheets

Dielectric rubber mats are specialized rubber sheets designed to protect personnel from the risk of electric shock. These mats are commonly used in electrical installations and serve as an insulating protective surface.
In other words, dielectric mats can be used indoors as insulating floor coverings in areas where work is performed on or near electrical equipment.

In areas where there is a risk of exposure to live electrical components, the use of dielectric rubber mats is essential. These mats are commonly installed when servicing electrical equipment such as switchboards, control panels, switchgear assemblies, slip rings, brush gear assemblies, generators, electric motors, and testing equipment.

Dielectric mats are intended for use in enclosed dry areas. Their use outdoors during wet weather or in damp conditions is not permitted.
